Not only did the Kelowna Rockets get redemption in their victory over the only team to have defeated them so far this season, they did it with authority in every aspect of the game. From shots on net, hits, goals, energy, goaltending, emotion and control of the game, the Rockets are clearly the best team in the CHL for good reason.
Jesse Lees started things off with quick goal on the wrap around that seemed to fool the big Tri-City netminder. Eric Comrie had just stopped Lees on a breakaway moments earlier.

Comrie lost sight of the puck after a shot by Kris Schmidli, and Tomas Soustal pushed the puck over the goal line 30 seconds later. That would give the Rockets a 2-0 lead 6:38 in and that lead would hold to end the first. Jackson Whistle only made four stops in the first, but all of them big.

Tyrell Goulbourne would net his 3rd of the season in the second and then his second of the game in the third on the powerplay. The 4-0 final score was a text book game of dominance in almost every aspect of the game.
The Rockets outshot Tri-City 34-22 with Whistle stopping all 22 and even though the shot total was low, most of the shots were quality scoring chances.

Goulboure was named the game's first star, with Lees as second and Whistle third star for his second shutout this season and fifth in his WHL career.

In addition, the Canadian Hockey League today announced the fifth edition of the BMO CHL Top 10 Rankings for the 2014-15 regular season and the Kelowna Rockets are once again, ranked as the number one team in the CHL.
