The Pick Brothers Band Live @ Minstrel Cafe & Bar
Since their first shows The Pick Brothers Band have been generating buzz in their hometown of Toronto, and since the independent release of their debut album, Pink Lemonade, in the fall of 2013, they've been touring steadily around Canada. Some recent highlights include dates opening for The Sam Roberts Band, and a song placement (Hey Sugar!) on an internationally syndicated episode of MTV's Degrassi.
The Pick Brothers Band formed after their youngest member did a long stint at Southlake General Hospital. Trapped indoors and trying to pass the time, Gabriel wrote a series of evocative songs about life inside and outside of the room that he was confined to. The Pick Brothers came together to arrange those songs, and flourished when they realized the musical chemistry that they shared. As Casey and Jeremiah began to pitch in their own songs, the band quickly amassed a large repertoire of original tunes which ran the musical gamut from hard grooving party anthems to simple folk sing-alongs to hook drenched guitar pop. The seemingly disparate styles are bound together by the brothers’ intuitive collective sense of vocal harmony, and their impressive respective abilities as multi instrumentalists.
This summer The Pick Brothers are touring all over Canada, playing clubs, festivals and house parties from Victoria to Halifax. In between engagements,The Pick Brothers Band are working on new music for their second album.
