Janette King & The Starfish
Mix one cup of soul, two tablespoons of downtempo electronic vibes and a sprinkle of RnB all together and you've got Janette King. One of Vancouver's most promising talents.
Janette King produces her own music as well as co-produces music with neo-soul electronic producers, Jordan Esau and Braedon Lim. When she's away from that, she's playing keyboards and singing lead along side Kristie McCracken in the Soul, Reggae fusion band, The Ponderosas. Over all, Janette tries to bring her Soul, Electronic and RnB influences to the various projects she works in.
She has performed in bands such as Natural flava's, Sophia Danai, and with two time Grammy Award-Winner Chin Injeti (Eminem, Dre. Dre, Pink). She has played at various music festivals including Shambhala, Victoria Ska Fest, and Caribbean Day’s Music Festival. Janette has also shared the stage with Toots and the Maytals, Barrington Levy, Shaggy, and Cody Chesnutt.

Formed in the summer of 2013 these guys were buddies before bandmates. Starting out as just jams for fun quickly turned into something a lot more than that. The four of them felt the musical connection right off the bat and soon after knew that it was more than just a living room jam unfolding. Floyd Meets brown consists of 4 unique members each offering different nuances to create their own sound. In no Particular order we have Ryan Daknar aka "The Captain" on trumpet, percussion and vox, he really knows how get the party going. Rhys Boardman on bass guitar keeping the fun in funk and the groove to make ya move. Dustin King on drums and percussion holding down the beat to move your feet and last but not least Josh Loewen on guitar, percussion and vox, he'll bring you to outer space and melt your face. Although they are only 4 members strong they will bring a BIG sound to make your day or night n' take you on a musical flight.
