If you grew up in the 60s or 70s, you do know, and most likely LOVE all the songs in this show. “The reaction to this show has been truly unbelievable” says Rann Berry. The audiences are a mix of the Baby Boomers who grew up with these songs, and the Boomer parents who were young adults at the time. Throughout the show you’ll hear people saying things like “that was my favorite song in grade 10” or “That song reminds me of my high school boyfriend Gary and his black Camaro”. It seems like the music from this era can take an audience back in time like nothing else. “Rann Berry’s “One Hit Wonders Show” pays tribute to that magical period of time between the mid 60’s to the mid 70’s when bands and songwriters were free to express themselves, both musically and idealistically. The songs in this show are all considered to be “One Hit Wonders,” which means they were the single BIG hit for each band or artist, or the song they are primarily known for. Due to the popularity of these hits back then, many of these songs were subsequently covered by major artists such as Glenn Campbell, Tom Jones, and even Elvis. The music is faithfully reproduced in its original form and is presented as a BIG Vegas-style musical tribute featuring beautiful Go Go dancers and a full eight-piece show band that includes a four-piece horn section! Some of those “One Hit Wonder” hits you’ll hear include, Seasons in the Sun, MacArthur Park, Hooked on a Feelin’, Judy in Disguise, Brandy ( You’re a fine girl ), To Sir with Love and so many more.
