This will be a high energy evening that will celebrate the release of Tasman Jude's new "Green" album. There will be prizes for best homemade mask as well as best overall costume! For more information visit www.codgonewild.com. Tasman Jude The Canadian Reggae Infiltration has begun... When Al Peterson & Caleb "BraveHart" Hart decided on a whim to climb onto the stage together in January 2013 they could not have predicted what the years ahead held. After only 3 improvised songs, they were surrounded by a crowd of people asking where their music could be found, and so a band (now including Adam Paananen and Derek Wilder) was formed! Less than months later they released their debut EP "El Norteno" which rose quickly to #2 on Canadian iTunes charts. The lead single "Take You Away" won a music video grant from Public Records & Telus and continued to win them a larger audience both at home and internationally. Soon after, the band recorded another single "Family", with Earl Pereira (Wide Mouth Mason & The Steadies). The song received radio airplay both at home and internationally, winning awards from Alberta Music, Free FM, and The Akademia. However more importantly, the theme of "Family" truly came to define the band. Both in the band and within their community, there is an understanding that that love is truly what matters in this world and it is what binds us all. "We don't have fans," says Hart "we have family members. These people support us, love us and we hope to give them something more than music back". As the band continues to tour relentlessly across Canada, Australia, and beyond it is a message of fun, hope and family they take with them. In September 2014 the band will release their next record "Green" and are looking forward to growing "the fam".
