Families in Parks
Get the whole family active and celebrating the outdoors!
Join Regional Parks staff as they provide some free activities for the entire family at our ‘Families in Parks’ events. Activities take place between 10:00 am and 11:30 am and require pre-registration.
• Sunday, March 15th enjoy ‘Art in the Park’ at Kaloya Regional Park in Lake Country. Families should meet at the Trask Road parking lot, just off Oyama Road. Youngsters participating will receive materials and instruction from a local artist as they create a work of art!
• Sunday, April 19th you’re invited to ‘Sensory Spring Surprise’ at Shannon Lake Regional Park, just off Shannon Lake Road in West Kelowna. This hands-on exploration of nature is perfect for every member of your family, no matter their age!
• Saturday, April 25th take a look at the honey bee’s life and home in ‘Beehive Buzz at the EECO’. The Environmental Education Centre for the Okanagan is located in Mission Creek Regional Park, Springfield and Durnin Roads in Kelowna.
