The coffee and pasty giant is getting some European inspiration.
British Columbia and Ontario are the first provinces in Canada to get Starbuck's newest change. Starting Tuesday, most Starbucks cafe locations in B.C. are changing up their pastry cases with the new products from La Boulange Bakery, offering classic, artisanal pastries for its food portfolio.

“Great coffee deserves great food and like Starbucks and coffee, La Boulange represents so much more than finely baked goods,” says Isabelle Hemond, director, Food, Starbucks Canada. “We share common values with the goal to inspire moments of connection at our core. We are bringing our customers products made with simple, high quality ingredients that are truly exceptional. Tasting is believing.”
La Boulange was founded by renowned baker and chef Pascal Rigo and shaped by French baking traditions and homemade specialities.

The real question, however, is what types of yummy treats can British Columbians get with a morning latte? Apparently there's nine new pastries, including croissants, almond croissant blossoms, cheese danishes, a gluten-free marshmallow dream bar, and buttermilk orange scones.
Starbucks bought La Boulange back in 2012, and in late 2014 finished up their roll out of the baked goods to all U.S. stores.
