What do you always find yourself saying?
“If you do what you have always done, you will get what you have always got.” If something is not working for you, have the courage to change it

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
Oprah - Her life story is one of perseverance, courage, strength and purpose. Her leadership has impacted so many people’s lives in a positive way. I love her heart!

If you were to receive any existing public award, what award would you like to win?
Philanthropist

If you could spend a day with any historical figure, who would you choose?
Nelson Mandela - A man who never gave up and rose up in the midst of challenge - He spent 27 years in prison where he could have become bitter and angry but he CHOSE a different path. His life and character is an inspiration to us today.

Who inspires you?
Peter Thomas, Founder of LifePilot - Peter is in his mid 70’s and not slowing down. He is a go-getter and his attitude is absolutely contagious and inspiring. Peter has taught me that the “Can Do” attitude is key to success.

What are three things on your bucket list?
To spend the winter in Palm Desert, California
To travel to Spain, Portugal, France, Croatia, Australia, New Zealand, go back to Italy.

Please tell us about a defining moment in your life
Several years ago, I lost my sister to cancer. She was only 54 years young and had so much life left that she so wanted to live. I realized then that life IS short, and every day is a blessing and a gift. It is a choice to choose to LIVE it each and every day.

If you had an enormous yacht, what would you name it?
"No Regrets"

If you could foresee a single day of your future in its entirety, what date would you select?
My grandchild being born. I hear it is amazing!

What are you passionate about?
Health, learning and growing, having meaningful relationships in my life, making a difference in the world around me, being creative, living an extra-ordinary life

What has been your favourite day of your life, up to this point?
My daughter’s wedding June, 2014. The moment I loved the most was when we all (myself, Darren, my 3 kids) gave our speeches. The value of family, love, gratitude and commitment was so evident. I felt so proud to be apart of the beautiful family that we all created.

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Personally - Being married for 32 years and not bailing when things were tough; the strong and real relationship that I have with my kids where we all pursue each other because we love to be together. I feel so rich!
Professionally - When I challenged myself to grow - Leadership Training, Facilitating a workshop at a chapter of YPO.

Where is your favourite place to dine in Kelowna?
Fixx Café - The food is amazing, great wine list, the owner is actively involved in making you feel at home, I have never had a bad experience.

What is your favourite activity or event in Kelowna?
Hiking, walking - There is nothing like getting outdoors and enjoying nature. What a beautiful place to live! Wine Events/Wine touring - We can be proud that the Okanagan is world renowned for our vineyards. Farmer’s Market - It is important to support

My personal mission is to passionately lead and inspire people to live a life of vision, authenticity and purpose.

If you could achieve one thing within your field, what would it be?
To impact more lives - This is why I have partnered with like-minded individuals and created a company that is committed to growth and passionate about self-development. There is power in team-work!

Where do you want your business/organization to be in five years?
I would like to see Life is Short Programs throughout North America helping people transform their lives.

Who do you consider to be a forerunner within your field?
Coaches Training Institute - The coaching school I attended.

What three qualities do you feel that your business/organization exemplifies?
Integrity/Leadership - Walk the walk, talk the talk.
Commitment - Be-Do-Have - "BE committed to DO what it takes to HAVE what you want." Have a strong vision and never bail when things get tough. Clarity comes as you align with your values.
Collaboration - Surround yourself with positive like-minded people to encourage and support you. You can accomplish more with a powerful team.

What would you like to say to your employees/volunteers?
Be YOU - Live by your values, ask for what you need, if there is an issue---address it, never burn a bridge because relationship is what is most important.

How does your business/organization impact the community?
Public speaking, One on One - I love to get out there and inspire and encourage people. Networking - Building relationships

If you were trapped in an elevator with several wealthy investors from any field, which field would you want them to be experts in? What would say to them/talk about?
The field doesn't really matter. I would like to know them at a deeper level-- What makes them tick and what is important to them? If they were giving advice to a young person that they really cared about that was beginning their career, what would they say to them? What do they believe is success? What are they most proud of?

If I could change one thing about Kelowna, it would be:
Have more international flights at YLW.

What do you think makes Kelowna great?
That it is one of the most beautiful places in the world to live in, there are so many great people to get to know, you can be active outdoors almost every day of the year, and that it is a city that people are proud of.
