A documentary about Canadian pot activist Marc Emery will be shown in Kelowna Wednesday evening as the tour makes a stop at the Paramount Theatre.
Emery was recently released from a U.S. penitentiary after serving five years for selling marijuana seeds over the internet to Americans. Known as the Prince of Pot, the Citizen Marc Documentary has been seen as controversial, but has been well received. The film is directed by Roger Larry and stars Emery himself and runs about an hour and a half long.

The film consists of archival footage, legal documents and media reports as well as interviews with Emery himself. The film presents itself in a productive position that contradicts and leaves the audience questioning the complexities and ambiguities of enacting the changes required to legalize marijuana.
The documentary will have two showings Wednesday evening, one at 7:10 and the other at 9:45 p.m. at the Landmark Theatre on Bernard Avenue. The screening will also include a question and answer period with the director for this one night only special event.
