Time's up for potential candidates wanting to run in Lake Country's upcoming election.
Nominations closed at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, and Lake Country now has their full list of candidates.
Running for mayor are James Baker and Jayson McCarthy. Baker is the current Lake Country mayor and was elected to the first District of Lake Country Council. McCarthy is a sales representative at Royal LePage who's been in real estate for 25 years.

Lake Country elects four neighbourhood constituency councillors and two councillors at large. For Carr's Landing, Matt Vader is running unopposed. There are two candidates each for the other neighbourhood constituencies. Current councillor Lisa Cameron is being challenged by Blair Ireland for the Okanagan Centre seat. For Oyama, Keli Westgate is running against current councillor Owen Dickie. Finally, Councillor Rob Geier is running again for Winfield, with Randy Rose as the other candidate for that seat.
There are five candidates for the two councillor at large positions, one of which is current councillor Penny Gambell. The other for candidates are Arlene Brenner, Richard Issler, Don Rae, and Bill Scarrow.
Current trustee Deb Butler is running unopposed for Lake Country's school trustee seat.
