A competition is underway which will have foodies complete to “Blog Your Way to Kelowna in 2015.”
The food writing competition is hosted by both Okanagan Food and Wine Writers Workshop and Food Bloggers of Canada. Bloggers were asked to submit an 800 word post about a Canadian tastemaker or quintessentially Canadian culinary product. The submissions were then judged by industry experts and the Longlist has been revealed.

“We were looking for a well-told culinary travel story, in an authentic voice that addresses the question of why the subject – person or ingredient – is important in the Canadian culinary scene,” said Jennifer Cockrall-King, founder of the Okanagan Food & Wine Writers Workshop and one of the five judges. “And through this contest, we sampled the country with submissions about great food stories from Nova Scotia to the West Coast.”
