Kelowna RCMP say they have charged the fiancée of murder victim Aimee Jane Parkes after identifying him as a person of interest.
Police confirm that Ryan James Quigley was taken into custody Thursday morning and has since been charged with murder.
Parkes, 35, was found dead in her home at Hiawatha Mobile Home Park on April 1st and RCMP immediately deemed the death suspicious.
During the homicide investigation Quigley was named as a person of interest and police request the public’s help in locating him and his vehicle.
Around 10:00 a.m. on April 3rd a plainclothes officer found the vehicle on the 500 block of Coronation Avenue and took Quigley into custody without incident.
After being questioned by officers he was formally charged and appeared in Kelowna court on Friday.
Quigley and Parkes were set to be married this summer after getting engaged in April, 2013.
The cause of death has not yet been released.
