There’s more controversy surrounding Penticton’s Boonstock festival, this time involving the security team hired for the event.
Last Call Liquor Mart in Penticton posted a security camera video to its Facebook page and claims security staff tried to steal alcohol from the store. The video was posted Saturday evening and has since been shared more than 250 times by residents.
The footage shows two men, dressed in their uniforms, looking at the vodka aisle. Then it appears that one of the men takes a bottle from the shelf and puts it down his pants.
Someone who appears to be a manager at the security company 24/7 Security has commented on the video saying that action has been taken against the men and they have been fired.
It’s unclear if Last Call Liquor Mart has filed a report with the police yet about the theft but it looks like the public shaming on social media has gotten the attention of company managers.
