Three engines, one rescue vehicle, and one command vehicle along with RCMP and BCAS crews responded to the scene. An investigator with the Kelowna Fire Department has been called to determine the cause of the fire.

The lone occupant of the home was woken up by the sound of their smoke alarm. The Kelowna Fire Department reminds everyone to check their smoke alarms regularly to be sure that they are in good working order.
