Andy Hayden was struck on Pandosy Street on October 9th and sent to the hospital with injuries to her legs and lower body. Hayden, an instructor at Kelowna’s Bikram Yoga Studio, was recently transferred to hospital in Vancouver and to help with medical and other costs friends have begun a fundraising campaign. Her boyfriend Stephen Scott has started stenciling t-shirts, hoodies and anything else for people, for a small donation, which will go towards Hayden and her recovery.

The online campaign has taken off and now people are clamouring to purchase one of the shirts and help out the local, and popular yoga instructor. A Facebook page has been started for those interested in donating or receiving a shirt and Bikram Yoga on Lawrence Avenue plans to have some available for sale as soon as they can.

Another group of friends have launched a blood drive event as Hayden lost a fair amount after the accident. The blood drive will begin on Monday, October 27th at the clinic on Dilworth Drive. There’s no word yet as to how long the campaign will last but everyone in the community is encouraged to get out and donate.
