With the holidays drawing near, the Okanagan Boys and Girls Club hope to raise funds through the 2nd annual Online Auction to Support youth at risk in our community.

Beginning November 24th, 2014, the Online Auction, will go live and includes some great items such as, a West Jet Voucher for two anywhere West Jet has flights to; accomodations at the Delta Grand Hotel; Tonhorn Creek Vineyards Guesthouse; golf vouchers for the Harvest Golf Club; a Beverage Centre from Coast Wholesale Appliances; Leadership Training package from Crestcom, and a Kelowna Rockets Club Night Out.
“We are so thankful for the donations of Okanagan businesses. With their contribution we are hoping that the auction items will help us reach our goal of raising $10,000 to help support our programs and services being offered to our youth at risk who need a hand up once in a while,” said Richelle Lawrence, Event Coordinator.
The proceeds from this year's auction will go to Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs Jaycees Downtown Youth Centre. The youth centre provides youth who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, a safe place to meet their basic needs. It is a necessary first step in the transition from homelessness to a full independent life.
Programs offered by the Youth Centre allow young people to focus on their abilities, develop new friendships, build self-confidence, and self-esteem. The Youth Centre needs the help of the community in order to continue their services.
