A Kelowna woman is heartbroken to find that after replacing a stolen electric scooter earlier this year, a thief has once again made off with her mode of transportation.
According to police the woman has her scooter stolen a year ago from her home and she had recently replaced it. Now the woman with mobility issues has had the same thing happen again, this time from the Dilworth Plaza. The burgundy Tao Tao 501 electric scooter was cut free from a lock while parked at a bike rack at the Plaza on Saturday, December 13th, 2014.
The scooter was stolen sometime between 6:00 and 9:00 p.m. and police are looking for witnesses or anyone who may have information regarding the theft. The scooter’s serial number is 450110002449. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers’ anonymous tips line at 1-800-222-TIPS or visit the website at www.crimestoppers.net. All information will be kept confidential and could lead to a reward of up to $2000.00.
