It is alleged that Steven O'Shaughnessy killed Latasha Gosling and her three children on Tuesday, April 21st before taking his own life. RCMP has not confirmed that O'Shaughnessy is indeed responsible for the murders, but his family have gone ahead and issued a statement.

“We are shocked and deeply saddened by the recent tragic events in Tisdale and Prince Albert.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims' family and friends.

There are no words to express how terrible we feel for the loss of life and ensuing grief.

Steven had no history of violence. However, he had ongoing struggles with mental health issues.

The Gosling family does not deserve this.

We will likely never know why this senseless act occurred.

At this time, more than ever, we are turning toward the support and love of family and friends to begin the healing process.”

The bodies of Gosling and her three children, all under the age of nine, were found in the small Saskatchewan community of Tisdale at a mobile home park. O’Shaughnessy’s body was located in Prince Albert, alongside an unharmed six-month-old baby.

A crowdfunding page has been set up to help the family with funeral costs and to support the lone surviving baby with more than $54,000 donated thus far. A candlelight vigil will take place on April 29th at 8:30 p.m. in the town as the community comes together to pay their respects for the murdered family.
