A Canadian city has made the National Geographic Best Summer Trips of 2015 list, but you may not believe which one it is.
The annual list covers the entire world with amazing destinations such as Machu Picchu, Peru; Athens, Greece; Victoria, Australia; and now, Edmonton, Alberta. According to the Nat Geo list, Edmonton is welcoming the world this summer, hosting a number of international events. The city will host the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015, the Edmonton Folk Music Festival, and the Edmonton Heritage Festival.

The top ten list includes destinations chosen for their adventure, relaxation, and world of possibilities. The editors recommend taking the Edmonton Transit Service to get around, or the Light Rail Transit to jump from downtown to festival sites. Edmonton is one of Canada’s sunniest cities, with about 2,300 total hours of sunshine annually.
