Following a contamination recall for a Moroccan style, President’s Choice brand of hummus, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency updated their recall warning to include several other flavours of PC brand hummus styles on Thursday.

As a result, Loblaw Companies Limited is recalling a number of PC brand hummus flavours and dip products from marketplace shelves because they contain the toxin produced by Staphylococcus bacteria.
Consumers should not ingest the following recalled products listed below:
Food contaminated with this toxin may not look or smell spoiled. Common symptoms of Staphylococcus poisoning include nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramping, and fever. In severe cases of illness, headache, muscle cramping, and changes in blood pressure, and pulse rate may occur.
At this time, there have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.
