The Okanagan is known for its fabulous vineyards and sunny weather—the two almost go hand-in-hand—but few realize that Valley wine trails are just as exceptional in the winter season, especially with your sweetheart over the Valentine's day season. Sunday, February 8th marks the fourth annual Sip With Your Sweetheart event, which entails eight different wineries along the famous wine trail and decadent chocolate pairings.

It's an afternoon of chocolate indulgence and sultry, smooth Okanagan wine. Gaining in popularity, the event is a good place to meet fellow wine connoisseurs. However, early bird tickets are available for those lovebirds wishing to have a more intimate evening.
New to this year's event, early bird passes will allow ticket holders to start the wine tour an hour early. “This way people can enjoy the benefits of having a tasting with a smaller group in a more relaxed and intimate setting,” explained Salina Petschulat Curtis, the Westside Wine Trail Coordinator.
The event is scheduled to take place on the Sunday of Family Day long weekend. Participating wineries will be treating everyone with complimentary wine and chocolate tastings from noon until 4:00 p.m. Wine, gifts, books, art, and culinary delights will all be available for purchase. Some of the wineries on the West Kelowna wine trail include Kalala Organic Estate Winery, Little Straw Vineyards, and Quails' Gate.
