Upon arrival, command reported smoke coming from the roof of a two storey house. After entering the home, crews found a small fire in the attic above the bathroom.

The fire was knocked down quickly, and the fire was contained to the bathroom.

Four adults, one child, and the family dog were all out of the house when fire crews arrived.

Three engines, one rescue vehicle, one command vehicle, and a safety officer responded to the scene with assistance from RCMP.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

Fire crews remind citizens to frequently check their fire alarms.
