Watch Out for More Pedestrians in Glenmore

Motorists should be aware that Glenmore will have more foot traffic in the next week.

Glenmore Elementary School is kicking off its annual Glenmore Footprint Days on Tuesday, May 19th. Promoting active living, the four-day event recommends walking as a method of active transportation. The walk routes will begin at Glenmore Elementary at 960 Glenmore Drive from May 19th to 21st. For the May 22nd activities, the route will take place downtown for the first time, starting at the Rotary Centre for the Arts.

Drivers should keep their eye out for more pedestrian traffic along Glenmore neighbourhood roadways between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. There could be minor delays at road crossings.

Check the City of Kelowna’s website for more road work, road closures, and potential delays.
