Come See the Design Plans for the Ethel Street Transportation Corridor

The City of Kelowna is gearing up to complete a comprehensive cycling path and they want to share their design plans with you.

The public is invited to information sessions to view the design and construction details for the first phase of the Ethel Street Active Transportation Corridor between Saucier and Bernard Avenues.

The information sessions will be held on June 2nd and 4th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Knowles Park, 856 Bernard Avenue.

This project was identified in the 2020 Capital Plan for completion and preliminary design was finished in 2014.

The $1.7 million investment on Ethel Street will include a separated cycle track on both sides of the road, new sidewalks, landscaping, and utilities improvements.

Construction is slated to begin in June and completion is anticipated by October.
