Kelowna Auto Technician Wins Bronze at National Competition

A fourth year apprentice in Kelowna just won bronze at the Skills Canada National Competition.

The competition was held in Saskatoon from May 27th to 30th, giving Ethan Delichte time to demonstrate his diagnostic and repair skills as an automotive technician. Delichte took third place in the PSEC Automotive Service category behind Matthew LeClair of Prince Edward Island and Seaton Crawford of Ontario.

Delichte already won gold back in April at the Skills Canada Provincial Competition to qualify for the national competition.

Having completed his education through Okanagan College, Delichte will be a certified automotive technician by the end of the summer. He has been a part of the team at Car Craft Automotive for the past year.

The Skills Canada National Competition is Canada’s only national, multi-trade and technology competition for students and apprentices.
