Firefighters put out a blaze at a motorhome in Kelowna early this morning.
The Kelowna Fire Department (KFD) was called at about 2 am to a fire in the 1900 block of Union Road.
A 25-foot long motorhome was on fire when first responders arrived.
They quickly knocked down the fire and prevented it from spreading, Platoon Captain John Kelly said.
The occupant, who was alone, had safely escaped thanks to a smoke alarm.
A pet, too, was able to get out.
The occupant is now in the care of Emergency Support Services.
The fire is believed to have been electrical.
KFD responded with three engines, a rescue unit, a safety officer, a command vehicle and 14 personnel.
