'Tis the season to bring your furry friend along to hang out with you on a sunny patio for drinks and nosh.
Over the past few years, more and more restaurants, cafes, breweries, wineries and cideries in Kelowna have started to welcome well-behaved canines on a leash on their patios.
It seems breweries really propelled the dog-friendly trend and other establishments have been eager to follow.
After all, Rover is a part of the family and you want to bring him along wherever you go.
Plus, it's no fun for Bowser to stay at home by himself and it's certainly a no-no to leave Lady in the car on a warm day.
It should go without saying that the well-prepared dog owner always has poop bags at the ready to pick up any accidents.
"As a dog lover and pet parent, I know how important it is to bring your furry friend along with you whenever you can when travelling and exploring," said Carla Bechard of Tourism Kelowna.
Bechard generated a list of dog-friendly patios in the city just in time for patio season.
She also encourages you to share your patio exploits with your pooch on social media with #exploreKelowna.
This list of dog-friendly patios is by no means the be all and end all, but it's what we've been able to compile from information provided by Tourism Kelowna, the Downtown Kelowna Association and the websites www.bringfido.com and www.spotdogwalkers.com.
