Fuller was part of a backcountry skiing party that was traversing a cornice, which is an overhanging mass of hardened snow at the edge of a mountain precipice, when a weak spot gave way. Skiers who were accompanying Fuller witnessed him fall down the side of the mountain.
He was later located by members of his party but had succumbed to injuries sustained during his fall. Search and rescue teams managed to recover Fuller via helicopter.
The B.C. Coroners Service continues to investigation this death.
