There will be another motorsport track in BC, this one on Vancouver Island, making it the second luxury race track in the province.
Recently it was announced that a new track would be built in the South Okanagan called Area 27. The province’s newest track will be called the Vancouver Island Motorsport Resort. German Auto Import Network on Vancouver Island announced that the grand opening of the track will be just 12 months away.

“This exclusive facility was conceived with true passion and has been planned with the best efforts to bring together the best of the best in design, architecture and construction,” said the Network in a release.
The year round operations at the resort are located in Canada’s only Mediterranean climate, boasting the highest sunshine hours in British Columbia with warm and dry summer and mild winters, according to the company. The race track will offer a large driving dynamic area featuring a skid pad, 14,000 square foot clubhouse, presentation centre, observation deck, and four pit/paddock garages.

The track will be located 45 minutes away from the Victoria harbour and will be constructed by Chris Erb of SupErb Construction. The German Auto Import Network, which represents nine performance and luxury car brands, will be funding the project.
The official launch of the track will take place in May 2016.
