Earthquake Shakes B.C. Coast

The coast of B.C. has experienced yet another earthquake.

The earthquake occurred just before 7 a.m. on Friday morning about 167 km southeast of the Village of Queen Charlotte. Earthquakes Canada reports that the earthquake measured 6.1 on the Richter scale and that it was felt on Haida Gwaii and the B.C. north coast.

A tsunami is not expected from the shake and there were no reports of damage.

Another earthquake occurred at about 10:45 p.m. Thursday night in northern Idaho that was felt in Castlegar and similar areas in southeast B.C. There were no reports of damage.
