The Philadelphia Flyers announced on Tuesday that they had signed Tyrell Goulbourne.
The Kelowna Rockets forward has been signed to a three-year entry-level contract, says Flyers GM Ron Hextall. Goulbourne was a third-round selection of the Flyers in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, and 72nd overall.
The 21-year-old is killing it in his fifth full season with the Rockets, recording 17 goals and 21 assists so far. In total this season, Goulbourne has received 38 points in 55 games. In his 268 career games with the Rockets, Goulbourne's recorded 55 goals and 63 assists for a total of 118 points, as well as 454 penalty minutes.

He joined Kelowna in 2009, having been drafted in the fifth round of the WHL Bantam draft. Goulbourne is from Edmonton and is known for his physical play on the ice. He's one of the most popular team members because of his energetic style of play.
Goulbourne is in Everett Tuesday night, taking on the Silvertips.
