The Kelowna Rockets blew a 2-0 lead to eventually fall 3-2 in an overtime loss to the Everett Silvertips.
This was the final meeting between the two top clubs in the Western Conference and their first loss to the Silvertips in the four regular season meetings which now sits at 3-0-0-1 for the Rockets. Previous wins were a 5-4 OT win, 5-3 and a blowout 9-3 win.
The high scoring Rockets have only managed three goals in their past two losses, one in the 2-1 loss to Calgary and two tonight.
Tyson Baillie opened the scoring at the 6:46 mark of the first with a power-play goal, his 36th of the year. Leon Draisaitl scored his 15th on the man advantage to make it 2-0 for the Rockets going into the third.

Everett would manage two goals past Jackson Whistle who is 0-2 since his return from appendix surgery.
The game's first star, Kohl Baumi scored the overtime winner at the 4:31 mark of the five minute overtime period.
The Rockets outshot the Silvertips 39 to 30 and scored their two goals on four power-play chances. Everett scored all their goals at even strength and only had one power-play.
The Rockets were without Rourke Chartier, Josh Morrissey, and Justin Kirkland.
Kelowna has eight games left in the regular season, their next game on the road in Vancouver and then back at home on Saturday to take on the Spokane Chiefs.
The Brandon Wheat Kings are hot on the heels of the Rockets, only two points back with a game in hand.
