A defensive player for the Okanagan Sun has made team history with an invite to the CFL Combine.

Dexter Janke just became the first Okanagan Sun player ever to be invited to the CFL Combine, a three-day evaluation camp where athletes are scouted by general managers, coaches, and scouts of the Canadian Football League. Janke performed terrifically in Edmonton Regional Combine, getting first in shuttle and second in 40-yard.

Because of his results, Janke was one of four players to be invited to Toronto for the national CFL Combine, which takes place this weekend.

Janke’s results in the Regional Combine are below:

Bench – 20
40-Yard – 4.56
Vertical – 35.50”
Broad – 9’11”
3-Cone – 7.13
Shuttle – 4.2

The schedule was recently announced for the Sun’s 2015 season, and the team will play their first game on July 25th against the Westshore Rebels.
