Beau McCue would break Jackson Whistle's shutout streak at almost eight periods of hockey by scoring near the end of the second. McCue's goal was the first goal of the series for the Americans.

Cole Linaker scored on the man advantage making it 3-1 for the Rockets.
A power-play goal by Jordan Topping made it 3-2 for the Rockets early in the third.
A Rockets power-play goal by Tyson Baillie and an even strength one by Chance Braid made it 5-2 with 3:58 to go in the third.
Beau McCue scored his second goal of the game making the final score 5-3.
The Rockets held Tri-City to just 1-for-9 on the power play while scoring two power play goals and outshooting the Americans 25-22 in the game.
Jackson Whistle earned his third straight win, Tyson Baillie was named the game's first star, Cole Linaker second and Beau McCue the third star.
The Rockets and Americans will play game four on Wednesday night in Tri-City.
If necessary, game five would be Friday night in Kelowna.
