For many Kelowna residents, yoga has become more than just a fitness class. It’s a community to become part of, and something to practice and improve at. It’s a way to keep both your physical and mental health in check. It’s a lifestyle.
This wouldn’t be possible without our local yoga studios, working hard to build open-minded, welcoming and positive communities. Here are the top three yoga studios in Kelowna, as voted by you!
Moksha Yoga is all about the idea of building an open community for its patrons. They’ve worked hard over the years to create a safe space where people can retreat from the busyness of their lives, improve their health and be themselves.
Moksha offers different types of hot yoga classes, massage, and hosts various wellness events. They also often hold affordable “Karma Classes” for a $10 drop-in fee which is donated to charity.
The Hot Box Yoga has a location on the Westside and in downtown Kelowna. Pleasant studios, a variety of class styles and an unpretentious environment have made it a top choice for yoga enthusiasts in Kelowna.
The Hot Box also offers infrared hot yoga, but in a room that is 25-30% cooler than most hot yoga studios. This helps make hot yoga more accessible to those who may be a bit intimidated by the idea, while still offering all the benefits of sweating it out.
Oranj Fitness is a group fitness studio in downtown Kelowna. This studio combines the feeling of community with fun group exercise classes to keep their patrons happy and healthy.
Oranj Fitness offers a very wide variety of classes, different types of yoga being one of them. With classes like Power Yoga, Happy Medium Yoga and Sunrise Easy Yoga, there’s an option for everyone.
If you feel like your body and mind could use some stretching, sweating or just plain relaxing, now you know where to go! What do you think makes for an awesome yoga class?
