Music BC is looking to help Kelowna musicians make the most out of their marketing efforts. The Vancouver based non-profit society, which provides BC musicians with support, education, funding, networking opportunities and more, is teaming up with the Arts Council of the Central Okanagan to host a panel on modern media. The panel will take place on Saturday, April 30, at downtown Kelowna’s Habitat.
The event will see a discussion on the modern media landscape, examining which types of media and practices are most impactful for promoting musicians. The conversation will also cover demographic reach and how different sectors of society engage with different media platforms. The goal of the panel is to help artists navigate the new media world, so that they can squeeze the most out of their marketing efforts and ensure their music is heard.
The panel will feature Ray Roldan (Founder of New York City’s Reybee Inc.), Andrew Huculiak (Amazing Factory and We Are The City), Chantel Chapman (Holler for your Dollar) and Jeff Ojeda (CEO of Harmonic Concepts). Meanwhile, yours truly will be moderating the panel.
Music BC’s modern media panel will take place on Saturday, April 30 at Inhabit (Habitat) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is free for Music BC members or $25 for the general public. Music BC is asking for attendees to RSVP directly to rsvp@musicbc.org - please write “Kelowna Panel” in the subject line.
