Family-owned Bamboo Chopsticks has transformed Kelowna with its delectable homemade dishes and inviting atmosphere.
With a fondness for fresh, bold flavours, every single item on the menu is still carefully crafted using their mom's recipes and prepared to enthrall the five senses.
This healthy and tasty option has appeared as a Best of winner in multiple categories over the years, including Best Vietnamese, which they took the gold medal for this year, and Best Thai. The fact that it’s also a winner in the Best Cheap Eats category goes to show you don’t have to spend a lot to get a great meal.
What’s on the menu? A variety of the classics including stir-fry, pho and rice bowls, along with some delicious appetizers like spring rolls, pork dry ribs and coconut prawns.
The restaurant has three Kelowna locations, downtown at 105-1360 Ellis St, in Westbank at 207-3608 Carrington Rd and across from the Orchard Park Mall at 112-2189 Springfield Rd.
Coming in at silver is Little Hobo Soup & Sandwich Shop. This cute shop specializes in handmade perogies, amazing sandwiches and hearty soups.
You will feel right at home in this cozy little downtown spot. The warm atmosphere and friendly staff who make you feel like family are just part of what diners love about visiting Little Hobo.
Their fan favourite meals are what really keeps people coming back. Some choice menu items include the Reuben sandwich, shepherd's pie and their rotating soups of the day (it doesn’t matter which one you try - they’re all outstanding).

Taking the top spot is the Asian-fusion eatery, Mad Mango Cafe!
Start your meal off right with some yummy, authentic Vietnamese Pho, which is available in a variety of options including vegetables, chicken, seafood and more.
They also carry a selection of Malaysian-style coconut curries, all served with fresh, assorted vegetables. Try out some veggie curry rice, curry lamb rice, or their staple menu item – Laksa soup – which is filled with prawns, chicken, half a hard-boiled egg and assorted vegetables.
Mad Mango Cafe is a Kelowna favourite, so expect it to be busy, but you won’t regret waiting for a table after you taste the food.
