Valley Moto Sport takes gold for Best Powersports Dealer in Kelowna
For the second consecutive year, Valley Motor Sport has taken home the gold as Kelowna’s Best Motorcycle/ATV Dealer, marking another milestone in the dealership’s decades-long journey. Partner Jeremy Wipp attributes their continued success to a steadfast commitment to customer service, a broad selection of powersports offerings, and a passion for the industry that has fuelled Valley Moto Sport since 1993.
“We’ve always kind of been in the top three,” Wipp notes, reflecting on their consistent presence in Kelowna’s powersports scene. “Being gold for the second time is really exciting, especially to beat out some of the other big shops in town... it’s really nice to be rewarded for putting the effort in with our consumers.”
Valley Moto Sport operates from two locations: their newest at 692 Adams Court in Kelowna and another in West Kelowna on Industrial Road. Each store features an impressive array of brands, including Kawasaki, Husqvarna, Gas Gas, Arctic Cat, Royal Enfield, and Suzuki. For Wipp and his team, it’s all about giving the community more ways to get out and explore the area’s stunning outdoor spaces, whether that’s on dirt bikes, ATVs, or e-bikes.
The powersports industry is evolving, and Valley Moto Sport is staying ahead of the curve. “We’re starting to see a shift into the electric space,” Wipp explains, “especially in the kids’ segment with smaller bikes.” The dealership’s latest foray into electric power includes e-bikes by Gas Gas and Husqvarna, which Wipp says are “huge” additions to their lineup. With quieter motors and fewer restrictions on where they can be used, electric bikes are opening doors for families and young riders to enjoy the sport.
As Kelowna continues to grow, Valley Moto Sport is heavily involved in the local powersports community. The dealership supports a range of clubs, including the Kelowna Snowmobile Club, the Okanagan Trail Riders, and the Kelowna Motocross Club. “We really try to push and make sure that events are supported by us, and people have access to these facilities,” Wipp says, underscoring the company’s commitment to the area’s trails and riding spots.
Kelowna offers an incredible range of riding options. Wipp highlights Bear Creek Off Road Trails as one of his favourite spots. “For me, there’s just such a huge range… it’s almost like a ski hill,” he says, noting how the trails are categorized by difficulty, from beginner-friendly greens to expert-level double blacks. “If you want to get yourself challenged, it’s definitely some good riding up there.”
On December 7, Valley Moto Sport will host a grand opening event at their Kelowna location on Adams Court. “It’s basically a big thank you to our customers and all those who have supported us over the years,” Wipp shares. The event will include a barbecue, prizes, sales on gear and equipment, and discounts on both new and pre-owned inventory. It’s also an ideal time for locals to browse the latest snowmobiles just as the winter riding season kicks off.
As Valley Moto Sport looks toward the future, they remain dedicated to bringing the latest in power sports technology to the Okanagan while supporting the local community. “We’re lucky because we get to branch out from just dirt bikes to e-bikes, ATVs, and jet skis,” Wipp says. With such a wide range of products, Valley Moto Sport is ready to help customers of all ages and skill levels find their perfect fit and hit the trails with confidence.
For Jeremy Wipp and his team, it’s all about passion, community, and a shared love for the outdoors. As Wipp puts it, “We love the industry, we love the sports, and there’s always something new to explore.”
