The man responsible for 35 million albums sold worldwide, five Grammy Award nominations, and 45 Billboard Hot 100 songs is coming to Kelowna this summer.
International pop star Akon will hit the stage at Sapphire nightclub on June, 15th, 2017.
Upon the 2007 release of his album 'Konvicted', Akon garnered the American Music Award for Favorite R&B Male Artist, Teen Choice Award for Breakout Male Artist, the World Music Award for Best Selling R&B Male Artist, and the Billboard Music Award for Artist of the Year.
The show is being put on by JayWho Productions Inc, the team responsible for bringing some of the hottest hip-hop and RnB artists in the world to Kelowna.
With a new album set for release in 2017, Akon will surely have Sapphire jumping with late 2000's nostalgia.
