Robert Fine, City of Kelowna’s Director of Business and Entrepreneurial Development presents on current labour force challenges and highlights steps to recruiting, hiring and retaining labour from abroad.  He will cover the various programs that the COEDC has undertaken for international recruitment and the opportunities to access talent in foreign markets.  Sandra Hakanson, Lawyer with Ocana Law Group is speaking on options for retaining Foreign Workers and explains “It can be challenging to finding suitable candidates, sometimes Employers need to look outside Canada.  Once the employer has gone through the effort of finding a Foreign Worker, how can they retain and support them?  Fall Sessions are open to both Employers and Employees.  All sessions are free and complimentary child minding is available.
