U-Haul at Orchard Park to Display Wall Honoring Western Star
U-Haul® will host a ceremony on Dec. 18 to showcase its decorative wall honoring the former Western Star plant at 2076 Enterprise Way.
Residents and media attending the event can take a behind-the-scenes tour of the new U-Haul facility. In addition to the wall unveiling, cake will be served. Attendees can sign a guest book and share their Western Star stories. There will also be original Western Star memorabilia on display. The event is from 2-3 p.m.
Kelowna Capital News columnist and Councilmember Maxine DeHart will be on hand to assist with the unveiling.
“In 1967, White Motor Company started the Western Star division with this Kelowna plant,” said Horace Martin, U-Haul Company of British Columbia president. “It is currently the second largest building in Kelowna, and we are thrilled to honor the role it has played in our community over the years.”
