2020-03-06 19:00:00 2020-03-06 20:30:00 America/Vancouver Innov8 presents Comedy for a Cause for Elara Isagawa Innov8 Digital Solutions is excited to present Comedy for a Cause for Elara Isagawa. Elara and her family really need our help, so we will be donating 100% of ticket sales from this show. This fun night of comedy will be hosted by Kelowna Comedy founder, David Kopp, and will feature a hand-picked roster of Kelowna's top talent. The performers on this show are touring acts and have been featured on Just For Laughs Northwest and The Kelowna Comedy Festival. “We are excited to help out Elara and are honoured to sponsor this show.” -Innov8. Please take a moment to learn about Elara: Elara Rae Isagawa, born April 24th, 2018, is the apple of her family’s eye. From the day she was born, people who lay eyes on her routinely have commented on how amazing she is; there is just something about Elara. To her parents, Nico and Jessica Isagawa, there is no blessing that could compare with this small angel. Elara also has an incredible bond with her grandparents, Candace and Mike Chisholm. On Christmas Eve in the pediatric ward of KGH, the 4 of them were present when the stunning, heartbreaking news was given: little Elara has a tumor the size of an orange near her tailbone. The family was devastated to say the least. Elara was immediately set on a path to BC Children’s hospital; and there wasn’t even a question that her family would do anything to get her the best treatment possible. The ups and downs have been astounding; from the 7 hour surgery (the longest day of her family’s lives) removing the tumor, to finding out the tumor was in fact cancerous and to brace and adapt for a multi round chemotherapy treatment, Elara has been the bravest of them all. She still has that amazing glow about her, and even with all the pokes and prods, Elara is the light that keeps everyone from the darkness of fear and doubt. Her family will stay down in Vancouver until the treatment is done, and they all dream of the day all can return home to Kelowna announcing Elara is cured. The entire family, who love being from Kelowna, are so grateful for the community coming together for them in their time of great need. Everyone there is Elara’s extended family.
