2018-12-24 16:30:00 2018-12-24 19:00:00 America/Vancouver Big White Christmas Eve Festival Calling all Christmas lovers! We invite you to join us for a magical night full of festive wonder at the first annual Big White Christmas Eve Festival.  Christmas is our favourite time of year at Big White, and the Christmas Eve Festival is the perfect way to celebrate with your family and friends. This new tradition, in place of the Christmas Eve Parade, will see the Village come alive with elves, internationally inspired activities and – of course – Christmas lights! You might even spot Santa before he heads off on a trip around the world.  The festivities begin with the annual Christmas Eve Service in the Village Centre Mall, led by Pastor Jack and accompanied by the Ski School Rookie Choir. From the service, bundle up in your warmest jackets, toques and mittens, and spend the early evening wandering through the Christmas booths on display. Gather your friends and family and pose in our ‘Merry Christmas From Around The World’ Photo Booth, then send the photo to your friends near and far; or cuddle up with a significant other in our Mistletoe Photo Booth. Be sure to check out the Bell Music Station to come up with your own Christmas jingle.  You’re going to need a memento from your time at Big White, so head over to our Decoration Station to create your very own Christmas ornament that you can take home or add to our Big White Christmas Tree. Then be sure to visit our Letters to Home station to fill in a postcard to send off to loved ones  – if you need to send your postcard off, stamps will be available for purchase and our staff will post your mail for you!  Along the way, enjoy carol singers and jugglers as they roam around the Village, or join Santa himself in the Village Centre Mall for readings of all your favourite classic Christmas stories. Keep an eye out for elves, Loose Moose and Lucy Moose  – they might just have candy canes to give away! – but watch out for that pesky Grinch, who tends to turn up at Big White on Christmas Eve and spoil all our fun…  We’ll also have a Clothing and Food Drive operating in the evening, so bring along anything you have to donate so that we can spread the Christmas cheer with those less fortunate.    Getting too cold outside? Come inside the Village Centre Mall and enjoy a warm hot chocolate or a Christmas treat from Clocktower Coffee Co.  The festival fun will continue until 7:00 pm, ending with our famous Christmas Eve Fireworks display. Best viewing is from the Village between The Woods and Stonebridge.  There are plenty more surprises in store, so join us on the evening for a night full of fun, inspiration and Christmas magic.  For further inquiries, please contact concierge@bigwhite.com.
