*SOLD OUT* Chamber Luncheon Series: Regional Economic Update & Outlook with Cheif Economist, Helmut Pastrick
We last hosted Chief Economist of Central 1 Credit Union – Helmut Pastrick – in June 2016. A lot has happened in BC (and Canadian economy) since that time; most notably, a change in provincial government in BC. In September, the NDP released their economic update to the provincial budget. Helmut will bring our audience up to speed as of December 2017, with what means, and may mean in the new 2018 provincial budget.
Helmut has the national, as well as the international view, on top of being a provincial budget expert. He will highlight Kelowna and regional numbers for our luncheon audience – useful, as so much information can be skewed to Vancouver and Toronto. He’ll cover employment trends, population growth, the three top CMA industries in Kelowna, an update on the housing market; and building and construction.
His presentation will once again be lively and informative. Central 1 is the financial trade association for the BC credit union system.
