Jazz at the KAS Presents...Brother Down Fundraising Event for Michael Garding
An evening of fundraising for respected local musician, Michael Garding. Over the past several years Michael has had increasing health problems and is on the donor list for a new heart. As his health debilitates the medical bills build up. Family member Nick Garding has started a charity for causes like this; Brother Down helps raise money for musicians with health issues and eases the stress on the family’s finances.
Please come to this event which will showcase, on stage. an amalgamation of talent and heart for a ‘Brother Down’. Musicians will all get together to raise money and help the Garding family.
'Have A Heart, to Give A Heart' – minimum entrance fee for NON-Members is $20.00 - Hosts Anna Jacyszyn of Jazz Café and Randy Leslie/Nathan Flavel from Kelowna Actors Studio have agreed to give 100% of the door charge to the cause as well as a percentage of the food and beverage profits. Raffle tickets will be sold at $20 each for amazing gifts to include a box set of wines from The Hatch winery, also Music gift certificats all worth over $150. Also games like 'request a song' for a charge, plus other funD ways to keep on giving.
