Heroes & Heroines
We juxtapose the classics with jazz in this concert. The great James Campbell, one of the world's foremost clarinetists, returns to our stage showing his versatility and mastery of both the classics and jazz.
The heroine, Leonore, immortalized by Beethoven in his opera Fidelio gives us all a reason to cheer. We pay tribute to Benny Gooman and other legends of the clarinet in Gilliand's Jazz Concerto for Clarinet - Dreaming of the Masters 1.
The OSYO joins us for our annual Side-by-Side to close this program with the toe-tapping infectious tunes from Gershwin's An American In Paris. Come and see just how much rhythm we got. This concert will be Fun, Fun, Fun!
