Held annually in late August, the West Kelowna World Music Festival celebrates the cultural diversity of the community, through music, food and activities. The focus of the festival is the cultural diversity of West Kelowna and connection to cultural expression from around the world.
New this year, the last Friday evening Music in the Park event has been combined with the Saturday event to form a two-day festival!

KIDZONE
The Interior Savings KidZone is back in 2016. Interactive music and culture sessions will be taking place between 4 -7 pm on Saturday, Aug. 27, for kids, caregivers, and even the young at heart! Learn some drumming techniques with Feel The Rhythm Drum Circles. Sing, play music and hear stories with Barefoot Caravan. Learn cultural dances with Worldbeat Dance, Arts & Wellness. Interact with roving artists from Kinshira. See and hear Barry Loewen playing and showing off the didgeridoo.
Interior Savings will be onsite with their Great Money Challenge and Fat Cat mascot, British Columbia Golf with games, as well as other community partners with activities.
PUBLIC ART INSTALLATION
Creative Okanagan has partnered with the Suk’ʷtəmsqilxʷ West Kelowna Arts Council, the Arts Council of the Central Okanagan and the Rotary Club of Westbank to present a public art installation at the West Kelowna World Music Festival in 2016. The selected artist will be announced shortly.
