2017-03-23 19:30:00 2017-03-23 16:00:00 America/Vancouver Tanya Tucker As a defining voice of Country Music, an Icon and modern day legend, Tanya Tucker has been inspirational to many female artists topping the charts today.  Thanks to a voice filled with sass and soul Tucker has paved a path through country music and beyond, achieving incredible longevity.  Her natural talent is undeniable!  From the signature classics “Delta Dawn” and “What’s Your Mama’s Name” to the Top 10 track “Can I See You Tonight” plus the hit “One Love at a Time” on to the career defining “Two Sparrows in a Hurricane” and “It’s a Little Too Late”, Tanya has proven to be timeless. She has amassed 23 Top 40 Albums, 56 Top 40 Singles, 10 #1 Billboard Hits, 2 CMA Awards, 2 ACM Awards and 3 CMT Awards.  Her debut single “Delta Dawn”, recorded when she was just 13, earned her a Grammy Nomination for Best Female Country Vocal Performance and launched Tucker into the national spotlight.  With a wildly growing career, she received the “Top New Female Vocalist” award by the Academy of Country Music (1972) and the TANYA TUCKER craze was on.  1973’s “What’s Your Mama’s Name” would become her first #1Single.  An unusual feat for a female country artist in 1974, Tucker earned a Rolling Stone cover story with the headline, “Hi, I’m Tanya Tucker, I’m 15, You’re Gonna Hear From Me”.  As the hits continued the gold certified album T.N.T (1978) peaked at #2 on the album charts.  Becoming one of the best-selling female artists in country music and with a halftime appearance at Super Bowl XXVIII (1994), Tanya Tucker was a household name to stay.  Tucker’s latest honor, the special exhibit “Tanya Tucker: Strong Enough to Bend”, at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Tennessee gave visitors the chance to step into her rich personal life, chronicled in a never-before-seen way, for fans to get up close and personal with the legend. As she prepares new music and hits the tour trail fans can expect the same classic, edgy, and unpredictable Tanya Tucker along with an indelible experience any country music fan is guaranteed to love!
