Rock The Lake After Party Weekend Series
Rock The Lake After Party Weekend Series
2 nights of the best band Kelowna has to offer ! They will be ripping up the Main Stage Friday night and upstairs at Inhabit Sunday night.
Friday Night:
Avenir Sky
Based out of British Columbia, Avenir Sky started as a solo project by Josh MacIntosh. But as time progressed, it was found that three worked better than one.
Avenir Sky consists of Josh Macintosh, Gian Peck & Matt Groening. "One of the main things that this band stands for is hope. This world is getting crazier by the day and people are getting lost in the crossfire," says MacIntosh. "If we can show love to the people around us, reach out to those who are hurting in whatever crazy situation they are in and give them hope, then our job is done."
Avenir Sky began when two dreams collided. Josh had been writing as an outlet for quite some time. He was playing a set at Bethel Church in Redding, California and Gian happened to fill in on drums that Sunday morning. Right from the intro of that first song, they both knew there was something in the air. So began the epic journey that is now Avenir Sky.
Saturday Night:
Crowd The Joanna
the drinking group with a music problem
A boot-stomping, whiskey-hollering hoe-down full of sea chanteys and drinking hymns, Crowd the Joanna formed in Kelowna during the great depression of 2012.
"…this band is a rock riot — their tone and brutal presence of Folk/Bluegrass inspired music is genius. Not only is it rowdy and celebrated, the band combines an easy listening tone with gritty punk roots." - Jeff Stychin, Awesome Okanagan
“Best-darn root tootin’ foot stompers in the Okanagan Valley.” -Jim Reiner
Too Sense
Too Sense is a 2-piece Canadian band who formed in the spring of 2016 in Quesnel, BC. They've been performing through the local scene of the central interior and have relocated to Prince George, BC.
Their innovative and unique style blends genres into warm, moving acoustic arrangements. A dynamic opening and headlining act, Too Sense pairs well with a variety of bands and audiences.
They plan to release an EP of original music in late 2017. It will feature creative compositions that embody Too Sense' defining elements of rock, country, hip hop, blues and jazz influences.
Tickets will only be available at the door the nights of the show for $10
