2017-10-26 19:30:00 2017-10-26 22:00:00 America/Vancouver Metal Stiletto - A Tribute to Women Rockers Metal Stiletto is a multi-tribute act paying homage to the great women rockers from 60's to present. Each show is a unique collection of artists. The show on Oct 26th features tributes to Tina Turner, Alanis Morissette, Pat Benetar and Janis Joplin. Cathy-Ann Wells (AKA Cat Wells) - Cat made waves throughout the Okanagan with her Blues Band PHAT Betty, opening for acts ZZ Top, Crash Test Dummies and Trooper to name a few. Through her PHAT Betty act she developed her Janis Joplin character, often performing a costumed set. Along with Janis, Cat now adds Tina Turner and Melissa Etheridge to the "Metal Stiletto" project with more characters promised for the future. Cat has produced many shows including Divas Night Out and Dem Crazy Blues where she met and had the opportunity to work with Vicky Nish. Vicky Nish - Although Vicky's true strength and passion is the R&B genre, she made her mark in the rock band Rhythm Method where she would belt out Alanis Morissette so remarkably that if you closed your eyes you would think it was the original recording. Vicky also sings backups and leads in Rann Berry's Rhythm and Soul Review to rave reviews. She joins "Metal Stiletto" as Alanis Morissette, Pat Benatar and Stevie Nicks with more characters in the making. Niki Martinus is a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, piano, harmonica) and powerful vocalist who joined "Metal Stiletto" in the capacity of a backup singer but that is expanding as she is also developing her tribute to Chrissie Hynde and others. These talented ladies are backed by an incredible line-up of musicians… Bass Guitarist Cam Ward is a long time Okanagan resident whose bass playing is infectious and the rock that keeps the rhythm section's "engine room" firing on all cylinders. Drummer Chris Ferguson "Dead Dog" is a welcome addition to the "Metal Stiletto" family. His meter is one of the best in the business. He has played in previous Tribute bands in Winnipeg prior to his recent move to Kelowna. Keyboards/backing vocals Leo Ilomin Jr. is a Kelowna resident who as a musical teacher brings with him an extraordinary amount of talent to the band with his keyboard playing and background vocals. Lead Guitarist Randy Randle with his recent move to Armstrong, brings over 45 years of playing experience and 25 albums he has guested on or hosted. "Rangus" is a major driving force in the sound of the band. Rhythm Guitarist Garry Grosso "Blind Dog Guido", now living in Coldstream is the blues rhythm player with deep Chicago blues traditions. His dedication to his craft saw the project "Soupbone" reach as high as #4 on the R&B charts, finishing the year ahead of notables such as Eric Clapton, Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin.
